About
My name is Trina Koch and I am a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio) with a degree in Freshwater Science from UBC-O and nineteen years of experience working as a water science professional in BC serving all levels of government, First Nations and the private and non-profit sectors. I am the Principal and Owner of Balanced Earth Environmental Inc.
As my career developed from Summer Student at the BC Ministry of Environment to Senior Biologist at Western Water Associates Ltd. my role evolved from field assistant to biology department manager. In between, I worked as an Environmental Scientist at Tetra Tech (then EBA) and Summit Environmental (now Associated Environmental). I have provided direct authoring, and /or senior review of hundreds of environmental reports and successful permit applications. My experience has provided me with a solid understanding of completing salvages, surveys and biophysical assessments, reporting, and environmental permitting in BC.

I strive to find the balance between development and environmental protection using common sense and practical solutions. Using my extensive project experience, technical writing and report reviewing abilities I endeavour to provide my clients with high quality deliverables in a timely manner at a reasonable rate.

Balanced Earth Environment Inc. is professionally insured (i.e. general liability, errors and omissions, Worksafe BC & vehicle) and will provide clients with a certificate of insurance upon request.
